About
Data Science is an interdisciplinary combination of math and statistics, computer science, predictive analytics and result communication. The ultimate goal is to extract knowledge from data and share it with the world.
This reliance on different, wildly interesting, scientific fields is what first drew me to Data Science. It then gradually started taking up more and more of my time, until it eventually pretty much took over my life. These days I am a Computational Biologist at NYU. I use Data Science in my day job to draw insight from deep sequencing genomics data. Check out my personal website to learn more about me.
By night I let Data Science take me in other directions. This is the place where I compile my analyses of interesting pieces of data I happen to stumble upon. I hope these articles are interesting and useful and that you and I can both learn from them.
I welcome your feedback, including constructive criticism and corrections.
